Friendly staff, secure bike storage, tidy reception area, clean bedding and pillows, individual reading lights and plug sockets.
Nothing all good.

Friendly staff. Excelent food preparation. Parking facilities reasonable with a bit of planning. The centre was new so much of the facilities was clean & well decorated. Shared facility site which was unusual. An independant art gallery shared the same site. Centrsl to all town facilities & sites to visit. Not far from coast or country side. Ensuite facilities.
The beds. Getting older & getting more & more difficult to manage clambering up, down or over things. Usually put one mattress on floor to sleep on. Usually have this problem at most hostels.

I found the hostel staff very friendy and helpful, the facilities were ideal for the short stay I was there I especially liked the bistro it was handy having somewhere to eat on the premises. I would stay there again and would also recommend it to friends and relatives.
There is very little I was unhappy about, except perhaps the cost of the room I had compared to somewhere like the travelodge, perhaps a lower price structure would attract more customers away from the likes of the travelodge.

Lovely common area with character and board games, beautifully tended courtyard garden. Great location for exploring nearby attractions. The self-catering kitchen on the top floor was a convenient feature. I highly recommend this hotel.
Drawbacks: Limited Wi-Fi coverage, poor room ventilation.

The staff at Yha Berwick were very helpful and welcoming. the location was amazing, with easy access to the historic walls and beautiful views. the room size was decent and the beds were really comfy. I had a good night's sleep and the room was warm. There was plenty of space for all my stuff and the hostel was very clean and well kept. the self-catering facilities in the kitchen were impressive, with all the utensils and appliances I needed. the lounge area was a nice place to relax and the staff provided useful information and maps about the area. it was a good experience at a very reasonable price. Bed was quite comfortable.
I was a solo traveller and paid £48. I had to make my own bed. The room didn't smell to good, the walk in shower didn't look very clean and the temperature was not constant. So overall not very good valve for money.! I would only recommend to other travellers if they were in a group and are not bothered about home comforts.

The beautiful surroundings , the friendliness of people, the walks, and the golf club. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Felt at ease and was made very welcome. Staff excellent, would help in any way possible to make stay as welcoming as they could. Have visited Berwick Upon Tweed for 20 years but this was best ever visit yet . Highly recommend YHA if you want to relax, chill out and do your own thing.

Amazingly high quality hostel, very friendly staff.
Very little, only tiny complaint is that the dining area felt quite muffled and sterile.

Very original youth hostel - great design, clean, modern and new. Great facilities and we had a spacious family room with en-suite shower room. Fab cooked breakfast available for good price. Staff friendly and helpful. No hesitation in recommending - our teenagers were very impressed and they are hard to please! Only downside was the noisy seagulls (clearly not something the hostel can sort!) but luckily the rooms have good windows and shutters which helped hugely.

I had an amazing stay at this quirky hostel in a great location. The staff were friendly and were very good too make my stay special. The room was spacious and clean, with a large en-suite bathroom. The communal facilities were superb, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge area. I even made friends with another family in the lounge while playing card games with our kids. it was one of the best places I've stayed at, 10 out of 10!
While the breakfast offerings were good, it would have been even better if there were more options to choose from.
